Cause

United Way connects children, families, individuals and seniors with the resources and supports they need across the entire Thompson Nicola Cariboo region. Last year alone, 47,358 individuals and families were supported by United Way. Each one of these numbers represents a life changed, a family that can stay together, a safe place to sleep, a basic need met, an interruption of the cycle of poverty, and more.

With the support of our donors and community partners, we target our community’s most critical issues. United Way understands that one person, or charity, can’t transform a community. To make long-lasting change, a collective effort is needed from multiple organizations to have a positive impact on our three focus areas: moving people from poverty to possibility, helping kids be all they can be, and building strong and healthy communities.
